CALL (Computer Aided Language Learning), particularly the intersection of narrative, technology, and foreign language learning. How can teachers best use technology to help language learners develop their skills while telling stories? How does the recent rise in popularity of text gaming impact foreign language learning?
Foreign language learning and identity, particularly immigrant learners. How does learning the language influence identity? How can immigrant learners navigate learning and using different registers of the target language?
I am also involved in various nonprofit organizations.
